Saudi Arabian Mining Company (MAADEN) announces the resignation of the Chief Executive Officer and the assignment of an acting Chief Executive Officer 1211 MAADEN 0.07 % 1439/09/20     04/06/2018 09:41:09 Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announces that its President and Chief Executive officer H.E. Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al Madifar has submitted to the Board of Directors on Sunday 19/9/1439H corresponding to 03/06/2018 his resignation. The reasons for the resignation are attributed to his appointment as Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining affairs. The Board of Directors expressed their thanks and appreciation to HE Eng. Khalid Bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer for his excellent efforts during his tenure as CEO of the Company, wishing him success in his new position. Mr. Khalid bin Salem Al Rowais will be acting Chief Executive officer of the Company as of 03/06/2018. Mr. Khaled Al-Rowais joined Maaden in 2002 as Treasurer, was promoted to the position of Executive Director of Corporate Planning in 2008 and Vice President, Finance in 2011. He became CFO and SVP, Finance in 2014. He was appointed as Senior Vice President, Phosphate and Industrial Minerals SBU in 2016. Al-Rowais earned a degree in accountancy from King Saud University in 1984. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
