SAUDI ARABIAN MINING COMPANY (MAADEN) ANNOUNCES THE RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBER 1211 MAADEN 1.65 % 1435/02/09     12/12/2013 15:48:31 Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announces that H.E. Soliman S. Al-Humayyd (Non-executive) who was representing the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), has submitted his resignation from the membership in Maaden Board of Directors on 04-12-2013. Maaden received a letter from the General Organization for Social Insurance requesting the change of its representative on Maaden Board, and nominating H.E. Sulaiman Bin Abdulrahman Al Gwaiz (Governor of the General Organization for Social Insurance) as the new GOSI representative starting from 01-01-2014. Following H.E. Soliman S. Al-Humayyd request, Maaden Board in the meeting held on 12-12-2013 has accepted his resignation with effective date starting 31-12-2013. In addition, Maaden Board has appointed H.E. Sulaiman Bin Abdulrahman Al Gwaiz as a new Board Member (Non-executive), representing the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) starting from 01-01-2014. This appointment will be presented for endorsement at the upcoming General Shareholders meeting. Maaden Board expresses its thanks and gratitude to H.E. Soliman S. Al-Humayyd for his sincere effort and contribution during his membership as a non-executive director and member of the Boards various committees. H.E. Sulaiman Bin Abdulrahman Gwaiz is the Governor of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI). He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland (USA). He held senior management positions at various institutions, including Saudi American Bank and Riyad Bank.
